Think of someone you know or have read about who was in love. Did love make the person see the world more clearly, or did it cloud his or her vision? Explain your answer in a paragraph in your Reader/Writer Notebook.

I think this is an interesting question, does love cloud someone's vision or make the person see the world more clearly? I think it's a subjective question, but I think love definitely clouds someone's vision. For example, in Shakespeare's famous play Romeo and Juliet, which is a story of love between the two young main characters, Romeo and Juliet( who are just fourteen and fifteen),, Romeo and Juliet clearly had no idea about what they're doing. Although they knew about the everlasting coup between their families- the Montagues and the Capulets, they still decide to "elope". The result turned out to be devastating as Romeo died in a fight and Juliet poisoned herself. Although people may find this story "romantic", looking at the two lover's decisions in a more pragmatic and practical way, I think they're completely absurd and lacked perception. Therefore, love does blind people's visions. If Romeo and Juliet hadn't fallen in love, they could've had a "bright future" awaiting for them and "dreams for them to fulfill". But of course, love makes people's mentality different and is just unexplainable. It's the only time when you might've seen your friend done something crazy when she's in love.
