A Knight's Tale

"A Knight's Tale" is a comedy movie that is first inspired by Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. It's clear that the movie isn't serious and perhaps is even playful when the "we will we will rock you" music is played. William is a peasant who pretends to be a knight along with his peasants friends. It's obviously a funny movie which sometimes pokes fun at medieval knights. I think this movie isn't as serious as the Canterbury Tales because the Knight was a genuine knight. They are similar, however, in some ways such as the characters all try to go on "pilgrimages". The movie, on the other hand, entertains people and make the story really engaging and interesting. I like the movie more than Canterbury Tales. Furthermore, I think A Knight's Tale is somehow similar to Don Quixote, another story/ movie that pokes fun at medieval knights. However, Don Quixote is more "extreme" because he doesnt seem to handle his "knight business" well. At least William learned a lesson from his adventure.
